This two-storey, multi-use facility was built to replace an older, inadequate community centre. The 15,000-square-foot project was privately developed by the Vancouver Peretz Institute, in partnership with VanCity Enterprises.
The capital cost of the new community centre and day care facility was subsidized by the development and sale of market condominium units built on the site. VanCity was in the role of developer and Terra was development consultant to the Institute. The Peretz Centre features offices, children’s classrooms, a library, a performance space, cooking facilities and underground parking.
