The new student union building for UBC Okanagan is a 20,000 sq. ft. space occupying a significant portion of the University Centre. It houses the student union offices, boardrooms, a pub, theatre, general store, retail space, copy centre and cafeteria.
Terra acted for the student union to negotiate the initial memorandum of understanding between the Union and University, then negotiated the head lease, development agreement and drafted and negotiated the sub-leases for the two commercial tenants. Terra led the Student Union through the space planning process to determine their overall space and design requirements.
