This 23 unit project at 46600 La’:le’m Way in Chilliwack is under construction. It will support Tzeachten members to return home or remain on Tzeachten Reserve Lands. The Tzeachten people have been on this land for centuries and continue to work to win back their lands, gain financial independence and provide housing for their members.
The new project will provide rental homes for Indigenous individuals and families with low to moderate incomes. The development consists of 5 buildings with one, two and three bedroom homes.
Terra sister company, Indigenous development management firm LDM worked with Tzeachten First Nation to submit a successful funding application for this “construction ready” project to the 2021 Community Housing Fund and is providing development management services throughout the development process.
