Lu'ma Development Management Welcomes a New Interim CEO

Lu'ma Development Management (LDM) is delighted to announce the promotion of Blair Bellerose to the position of Interim CEO.  Blair is Metis and Cree and a member of the Fort McKay First Nation in northern Alberta.

LDM has experienced steady growth since its inception in 2017 while strongly committed to its core mandate to be guilded by Indigenous leadership and to build capacity to serve BC Indigenous organizations.  This includes mentoring, developing and supporting staff to enable LDM to promote from within the company.

Blair joined LDM in 2019 as a Development Manager, bringing 20 years' experience in Urban Aboriginal programming, governance and research with expertise in employment and training, leadership and service excellence.  Prior to coming to LDM, Blair was the Regional Program Development Advisor for Urban Programming for Indigenous Peoples with Indigenous Services Canada and previously, the Director of Employment Services for the Aboriginal Community Career Employment Services Society (ACCESS).  Blair holds a Master's degree in Urban Studies from Simon Fraser University where his research focused on urban Indigenous organizations and the non-profit sector.

Blair is looking forward to continuing his development management role with his current clients, helping them to realize the completion of their social purpose real estate projects.  He is also excited to take on the new challenges of building relationships, providing mangement and leadership while working to continue the successful growth of LDM.
