Bridge Housing

Bridge Housing Society for Women

This project was created to provide a safe haven for women of the Downtown Eastside. It features 36 units of permanent housing and 12 short-term stay shelter units for homeless and homeless-at-risk women. The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre occupies the first floor and the basement of the building; Atira Women’s Resource Society provides program and property management services.

Terra worked to successfully facility this project with a broad range of stakeholders including a diverse and active board of directors, three levels of government, the Vancouver Foundation, the Real Estate Foundation and many others.
