Vancouver Native Housing Society celebrated with neighbours, dignitaries and guests at the official construction start of their new project at Fraser Street and East Broadway in Vancouver. The project will offer apartments for residents who are homeless and at risk of homelessness: 69 units for adults and 30 apartments for youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The site was previously home to the Broadway Youth Resource Centre, operated by Pacific Community Resources Society. BYRC will return to the site and will offer support services.
RainCity Housing and Support Society was joined by dignitaries and guests at a morning event to celebrate the progress of construction of a new housing project located at Princess and Powell Streets in Vancouver.
The new 147 unit, 10 story building, is one of 14 City of Vancouver sites being developed to house those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Budzey Building will house women-led households.
Terra has been providing development management services to RainCity for more than two decades.
